Kaitlin Schwan

Dr. Kaitlin Schwan serves as Research Advisor for WNHHN. She is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Southern California and the incoming Director of the California Street Medicine Collaborative. She is a Senior Researcher at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness and is appointed Assistant Professor, Status-Only, at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Social Work. She is the former Senior Researcher for the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing and Director of Research for The Shift. Dr. Schwan’s research focuses on homelessness prevention, human rights, and street medicine, particularly for women. She uses research to build bridges between evidence, advocacy, policy, and lived expertise to advance housing justice.
